FAQ

I offer free 15 minute phone consultations to explore if you would be interested in working together to help you meet your personal goals.

The time it takes to feel better can vary widely from person to person. Many clients notice improvements after just a few sessions, while others may find ongoing therapy more beneficial. It’s a personal experience and not an exact science. If a client isn’t seeing positive changes after five or six sessions, I’d likely suggest exploring other therapy. My focus is on connecting with and supporting clients in the best way possible, rather than being the “best” therapist for everyone.

I offer a variety of virtual counselling sessions, including a full 60-minute individual session for $140 and an 90-minute sessions for individuals ($185).

LGBTQ2S+ and or sexual orientation/identity, (or gender identity) counselling is something that I am open to working with as I do not have beliefs or values that might be in conflict with the issues surrounding these types of clients.  However, depending on the situation, I might not have some of the specific training available that would be best suited for a client in this commuinity.

I am glad to work with 2SLGBTQIA+ folks in general, and of course, anyone else who feels they would benefit from working with me.  Sometimes, I might work with a client that has an 2SLGBTQIA+ person in their life, and would like to work with a counsellor who is knowledgeable about 2SLGBTQIA+ issues.

Please check with your benefits provider to ensure the details of your coverage, including whether you have coverage for “counselling services.” Many benefits providers cover therapy offered by Registered Clinical Counsellors.

Life happens, so I only charge $50 of the session fee the first time a client provides less than 24 hours notice. After that, I charge 100% the fee.

If you have a complaint about my services please try your best to tell me if you feel safe to do so. Often relationship dynamics can lead to misunderstandings that I want you to feel safe to share with me.  If you don’t feel safe to share with me then you can constance the registration body I am licences with at the following:

I have chosen to ad “RSE” to my signature and title to reflect the hard work that tradespeople undertake to become certified across Canada.  Becoming a trades person is a significant part of my identity and story.

The inclusion of this title is fairly new.  As of 2015, the Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship (CCDA) announced the official recognition of the “RSE” acronym (Red Seal Endorsement) for qualified skilled journeypersons.

The CCDA Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship believes that an officially recognized acronym for skilled trades professionals provides qualified individuals with a way to easily reflect that they have passed the Red Seal examination for their trade, while at the same time promoting the Red Seal Program. The RSE acronym is used by journeypersons who have obtained a Red Seal endorsement on their provincial or territorial trade certificate. Anyone holding a valid Red Seal endorsement may use RSE on their business cards and signatures (e.g. John or Jane Doe, RSE).

If you would like to learn more about the Red Seal Endorsement you can go to the website Red Seal Program
